Ms. Strubberg is a chemical engineer with more than 16 years of experience in environmental permitting, environmental compliance and project/process engineering.  Ms. Strubberg has held responsible positions within the chemical manufacturing industry and as an environmental engineering consultant.

Before coming to work for Hastings Engineering, Inc., Ms. Strubberg was employed by Mallinckrodt Chemical, Inc. for four years.  She worked as the Senior Environmental Engineer for the Special Products Manufacturing Group.  In that capacity, Ms. Strubberg was responsible for designing and implementing an environmental compliance program, coordinating the design and installation of pollution control equipment, preparing environmental permit applications, training personnel, completing environmental reports (including EIQ and SARA), and monitoring daily compliance activities.  In addition, Ms. Strubberg worked as a Senior Process Engineer, leading an engineering team that identified cost reduction projects and implemented solutions.  

Ms. Strubberg has held industrial positions as a Technical Service Engineer for a paint manufacturer and as a Technical Writer for an automotive parts manufacturer.  As a Technical Service Engineer, her responsibilities included determining appropriate coatings for specific industrial applications and failure evaluations.  As a Technical Writer at the parts manufacturing facility, Ms. Strubberg developed a training program for operators when a new production management system was brought on line.
 
Ms. Strubberg has consulted in a number of areas.  In the field of air pollution these include: preparation of construction applications for air pollution sources, preparation of Title V operating permits, development of air emission test plans, coordination and supervision of air emissions testing, and preparation of environmental reports including SARA and EIQ for a variety of industrial clients.  In the field of waste management she has consulted in the preparation of RCRA hazardous waste permits, development of compliance determination methods for waste fuel recycling facilities at cement kilns, preparation of a solid waste sampling protocol and monitoring program, and remedial hazardous waste identification and disposal.  Ms. Strubberg has also conducted environmental audits.
